Jen brings her straight shooting style, her uncanny knack for trend spotting, and her strategic thinking to all of her consulting work. She is sought after for her non-traditional qualitative research approaches, innovation and ideation techniques, and her expertise on gender roles and drivers.

For more than 20 years, she has challenged clients to think differently about their consumers and to make sense of the differences between what they say and what they actually do. Key clients have been Westin Hotels (think Heavenly Beds), Glaxo SmithKline (smoking cessation and weight loss innovation), Johnson & Johnson (birth control and baby care), IKEA (understanding entrepreneurs), Bloomingdale's (new launches), Mondelez (consumer intimacy), Guardian Insurance (thought leadership), A&E Television networks (brand positioning), Viacom (content optimization), and Biore (new product development).

In 2017, she launched OpenMind an insights incubator for Omnicom’s brand consulting agency Hall & Partners within their New York office. Charter clients included work with Shiseido, Panasonic, Samsung, Smirnoff, Nikon, Electrolux, and Northwestern Mutual. Before this she was an EVP of Insights + Strategy for Now What and before that SVP at Insight Strategy Group. Previously she was the co-founder of Just Ask a Woman and co-authored "What She's Not Telling You: Why Women Hide the Whole Truth and What Marketers Can Do About It." (2010). Earlier in her career, she worked as a futurist for Faith Popcorn’s BrainReserve and in public relations. Jen’s reputation as a compelling speaker has made her a great guest on morning shows, during drive time radio and for business sections in every major market.

Beyond the work for clients, Jen has a true passion for growing junior talent. She has been affectionately anointed a “fairy jobmother” by former employees because of her mentoring, her no nonsense approach to professional development, and because she teaches rising stars how to speak truth to power and drive their careers.

She was awarded a prestigious Changing the Game Award from Advertising Women of New York for her fearless approach to client problem solving. She has been the keynote speaker for the Ad Club, regional AMA events, and hosted panels during SXSW, CES, OmniWomen’s NY Launch, and for the 4A’s.
